Yes. You may subscribe two phone lines with separate numbers under your single account for a nominal monthly charge. Should you need more than two lines simply open a second gTalk^® Home service account.

No. gTalk^® Home phone service rides on home broadband Internet service that you subscribe from your local Internet Service Provider (ISP).

No. You do not need any computer to use gTalk^® Home phone service. You need only high-speed Internet connection, ordinary telephone sets and a gTalk^® Home phone device.

You need to (i) open gTalk^® Home phone service account, (ii) have high-speed Internet connection at home, (iii) have gTalk^® Home device, and (iv) ordinary telephone sets.

No. PO Box as address for gTalk^® Home service is not acceptable. The address must be of your residence which must be known to the emergency services of your locality.

a) For gTalk^® Home Basic Service Plan: The service allows unlimited calls within USA and Canada only. Calls to all other international routes may be made by (i) maintaining a credit balance with your gTalk^® Home phone account or (ii) by purchasing a special calling package available, or (iii) by linking your gTalk^® Home Basic service to your gTalk^® Pinless account. b) For gTalk^® Home World Service Plan: The service allows unlimited calls to some routes in 65 countries including USA and Canada. Calls to countries and/or routes not covered under the plan may be made by (i) maintaining a credit balance or (ii) by purchasing a special calling package available, or (iii) by linking your gTalk^® Home World Service to your gTalk^® Pinless account.

Yes, you can link your gTalk^® Home service account with your gTalk^® Pinless service account. By doing so you may make international calls from your gTalk^® Home phone which is charged from your gTalk^® Pinless account. In this case you do not have to maintain a credit balance with your gTalk^® Home service account.

Log on to your gTalk^® Home account, click the button titled 'Link to My gTalk^® Pinless Account' and follow easy steps suggested. Do not forget to register your gTalk^® Home phone number in your gTalk^® Pinless account.

By linking the two accounts you will be able to

• call destinations not covered by gTalk^® Home plan without having to top up your gTalk^® Home account,
• Take advantage of price difference of routes between the two services.

Yes, you may change your service plan at any time by calling gTalk^® Home Customer Care Center at 1 866-481-1010.

Yes, gTalk Home phone customers may omit dialing the area code of a US phone number if and ONLY if the area code of the destination phone number and that of the gTalk customer's are the same. For example if your area code is 347 and you want to call 347-4447800 then simply dial 4447800.

Refer a Friend Reward:

Every gTalk^® Home phone customer is assigned a promo code that appears in your gTalk^® account home page. Refer someone you know to open gTalk^® Home phone account. Ask him/her to enter your promotion code XXXXXX when opening their account by visiting www.gtalkhome.com. When your referee opens his/her account, gTalk^® Home will credit your account as follows:

a. Instant Reward: $3.00 for every new gTalk® Home phone account added to your account as THANK YOU.  The reward will mature after 75 days for You to be able to use it.

b. Long Term Reward: As soon as number of Your live/active referred customer accounts grows to and/or remains at least 3 (three), Your account will start receiving reward equivalent to 10% of all basic monthly charges cleared by Your referred accounts for ONE FULL YEAR. So you may reward yourself handsomely, for example:

h. Email Notification: After a new account is created using a referrer&rsquos promo code, the referrer receives an email notification.

Inadmissibility Conditions on Receiving Reward: This refer-a-friend reward is inadmissible if (a) the referred person already has gTalk^® Home account opened earlier and (b) if the referred customer is no longer maintains an active account. If these conditions are discovered at any time all rewards already delivered related to such accounts will be cancelled and the total reward amount deducted from the recipients' accounts.

Yes. There is no extra charge for this service.

Yes you can but there are some issues with this arrangement which you should be aware of.

Simultaneously hooking up a FAX machine and a telephone set to a single line by using a T device will give rise to the following inconveniences:

• You will not be able to use the Voice Mail feature.
• Depending on the quality of the T device the FAX line may be disrupted (voltage drop issue).

The solution is simple. Switch to a two port i.e. two line gTalk^® Home phone service for a nominal additional monthly charge. The two line service will be introduced soon and will come with two separate telephone numbers.

The solution is simple. If you pick up an incoming call and hear a fax tone then FIRST press the ON or GO button of the fax machine and thereafter hang up your telephone set.

Once you know a FAX message will be coming you'll need to configure your FAX machine to auto-answer the next call. Receive the FAX. Once you're done with receiving your FAX, turn off auto-answer on your FAX machine to avoid having your FAX machine pick up incoming calls.

Yes, gTalk^® Home service offers voice mail service which is inactive by default. You may activate the feature by dialing 101 or your own gTalk^® Home telephone number using your home telephone set.

Yes, you may freeze your gTalk Home account for maximium 2 months by paying $4.99 service charge. Your account will not be billed during the freeze preiod.

No.  The HF service is for voice service only.

Call forwarding feature for HF service is only available as an optional add on service for $2/month.

In case of change in technology i.e. technology environment renders HF service redundant or obsolete then the HF service may be discontinued without any liability on the service provider.

The gTalk HF device comes with a standard 1 year warranty.  In case a replacement device is required after one year from start of the service the customer may request for a replacement device for $49.99.

If we fail to auto collect your tax payment due to issues with your credit card your HF service will be disconnected within a month (two reminders) will be issued in the interim.

Yes, you may reactivate your disconnected HF service by paying re-connection fees plus any outstanding dues.

As a gTalk HF service user you must report any change in your registered address to gTalk so that your 911 service address can be changed. This is a legal requirement that you must fulfil.  There is a $5 charge for each change of address.

Taxes and fees may change any time and gTalk must pass that on to the users of the service.

Add-On services are optional services that a gTalk^® Home service customer may buy to make calls to international destinations that are not covered under current gTalk^® Home service plan she/he has subscribed. These services are offered in the form of non-refundable Pay Per Package (PPP) services. The balance of PPP services are in minutes of calls which has no cash value and must be used up within specified package duration. After expiration a PPP-deal does not exist.Duration of PPP may vary from package to package.

The words 'Add-On service' and 'PPP' mean the same thing and are used interchangeably.

Generally speaking gTalk^® Home service customers may buy Add-On services. However some Add-On services may be available to only customers subscribing a specific service plan.

Yes, in some cases. An Add-On service may have one or many different flavors. We will term each of these Add-On service flavors as Pay Per Package i.e. 'PPP-Deals'.

Yes, a gTalk^® Home customer is allowed to purchase one or more Add-On services at any point in time. However in case the Add-On service has several PPP-Deals then the customer can buy ONLY one PPP-deal under that Add-On service. Add-on services i.e. PPP-deals will however retain their individual expiration dates.

Yes, every PPP-deal of gTalk^® Home service has an expiration date.

Call minutes under Add-On must be used up within the effective period of the PPP_Deal. On the expiration of effective period of a PPP-Deal it ceases to exist and as such any balance talk time also expires.

No. When customers buy Add-On services they buy phone talk time which does not have any cash value. So Add-On services of gTalk^® Home service once purchased are NOT refundable.

Yes. A gTalk^® Home service customer has the option to buy an Add-on service either as a one-time purchase or as a recurring purchase on expiration of existing PPP-deal or when callable balance exhausts.

Yes, a gTalk Home customer is free to cancel any time an auto-purchase instruction set earlier.

No, once a PPP-Deal is purchased it will be served until it expires without any financial effect to the customer. However if the PPP-deal is set by the customer on auto-subscribe then new rate will be applicable to all subsequent subscriptions of the same PPP-deal.

Yes, details and prices of a PPP-deal may change (up or down)from time to time without any formal notice to all except for auto-purchases. The changes will be effective ONLY for new purchases of PPP-deals concerned. Customers who have set for auto-purchase of a PPP_deals will receive an email notice from gTalk^® Home notifying them of the changes and seeking their permission to continue future auto-purchases under new terms. If the customer does not agree to the new terms/changes to the package his/her existing package will terminate on its expiration date.

New Add-On services will be introduced and offered from time to time. At the same time existing Add-On services may be discontinued without prior notice. However a PPP_deals once made i.e. paid for will be allowed to live through its validity period.

The official version of all information and updates on Add-On service of gTalk^® Home service will be posted on www.gtalkhome.com. In some cases the information may be passed on to customers via email.

Top-up service is a type service that allows a gTalk^® Home customer to make calls i.e. pay for calls to destinations not covered under his/her currently subscribed type of gTalk^® Home service plan. gTalk^® Home service customers may buy Top-up service to maintain credit balance for making calls to uncovered International destinations. Calls are charged as per rate presented in the gTalk^® Home website www.gtalkhome.com. Balance under Top-up service are in cash and do not expire.

Both gTalk^® Home Basic and gTalk^® Home World customers may buy and use Top-Up service.

User of a phone number has the right to retain it even when changing his/her telephone service provider. This transition of a phone number from existing to new telephone service provider at the request of the user of that number is called Number Porting. Usually number porting service involves a porting fee. However gTalk^® Home phone does not charge any money for number porting

Yes. On your request gTalk^® will port your existing phone number for FREE.

Generally telephone numbers you own should be portable. However in rare cases some numbers from rural areas may not be portable for techno-business reasons of downstream providers. gTalk^® does not have any control on those situations other than offering/providing a new phone number to the customer.

With your permission gTalk^® Home will apply for porting your number. As soon as porting is complete your account with your old carrier is supposed to get automatically closed. However to make sure that happens you must call your existing service provider and ask them for cancellation of the service.

Yes, you can. However you may need to check with your existing provider if they will charge any fees for the premature termination of contract.

No. Porting process is complex and involves several parties geographically spread. So it can not be stopped halfway during the implementation. So the way to go forward is allow the porting to be completed, open account with another provider and then ask that provider to submit a porting request.

No. gTak® Home offers phone number porting service FREE of charge ONLY if the request is made at the time of opening an account.

Yes, you may if the desired phone number is portable or is in our inventory. Customers have to pay $20 number replacement fees for this service.

The information required for porting a phone number are given below:

1. Phone number(s) to be ported.
2. Current service provider's name.
3. Your account number with current service provider.
4. Your name as it appears on your phone bill.
5. Your address as it appears on your phone bill.
6. Last 4 digit of your Social Security No. (only if no. to be ported is a cell phone no.)

Note: Please provide scanned copy of your latest phone bill which relates to the phone number(s) to be ported.

You are free to port out your phone number any time you want to do so and for any reason.  Just make sure your new provider/carrier include the word 'Genusys' or 'gTalk' besides your name and also as your existing provider in the Port Out Application.  Port out request takes about 5 to 7 business days to get executed.

Payment through credit card (Visa, Master Card, and Discovery) is the only way to pay for gTalk^® Home Service.

Yes, you will be notified by email if your payment hasn't gone through. gTalk^® Home will allow you 3 days to continue service past the prepaid duration before all outgoing service is auto blocked. On the 4th day you will receive another email notifying you that outgoing calls have been blocked and if bills are not cleared within next 4 days all services will be temporarily blocked. On the 9th day you will be notified that your gTalk^® Home services are blocked and if bills are not cleared within next 5 days your gTalk^® account will be permanently cancelled and you will permanently lose your telephone number.

It is your responsibility to update any changes to your credit card on record with gTalk^® Home. You could do this by logging on to your customer portal or by calling gTalk^® Customer Care Center at 1 866-481-1010.

gTalk^® Home system will trigger an email to the gTalk^® Home account holder one month before his/her credit card on record is to expire requesting to update the expiration date and CVC code. It is your responsibility to update changes to your credit card on record with gTalk^® Home. You could do this by logging on to your customer portal or by calling gTalk^® Customer Care Center at 1 866-481-1010.

You will be notified by email on the day the monthly payment is due. Thereafter until the payments are not cleared you will receive up to three more emails during a span of two weeks before the account is permanently cancelled.

gTalk^® Home monthly bills are collected one month in advance i.e. by 1st of the month being billed. gTalk^® auto payment system will charge your credit card on record on 23rd of every month. If for any reason payment does not go through gTalk^® Home will send you an email notifying that your telephone line will be disconnected if payment is not received by 30th of the current month. If the invoice still remains unsettled until 26th of the month gTalk^® will send another warning email to you to clear the bill. If the bills still remains unpaid as on the last day of the month a last warning will be sent out stating that your international call privilege has been withdrawn and if bill is not cleared your land line will be disconnected on 7th of the following month. If still the bill remains unpaid the line will be disconnected.

As a courtesy gTalk^® Home may retain your telephone number for 15 days from the disconnection date. Thereafter the number will be permanently lost.

Your gTalk^® device needs to register with gTalk^® server in order to receive inbound calls. Some reasons why gTalk^® device may not be able to register with gTalk^® server are:

• Possible power outage.
• Telephone set and gTalk^® device may not be plugged in.
• Internet connectivity has been lost. Please check that you have Internet connectivity.
• Router/firewall options have blocked gTalk^® voice traffic. Check if your router/firewall settings have changed.
• If the problem is still not over please call customer care at 1 866-481-1010.

This is usually due to bad Internet connectivity. Check your Internet connectivity first. If there is no problem with your Internet service, power cycle gTalk^® device. If the problem does not get resolved you may have to wait until service quality of your Internet service gets better. You may always call gTalk^® customer care at 1 866-481-1010 for advice and help.

Echo is experienced primarily due to latency of your Internet service or defective wiring/device. Other possible causes of echo are:

• Poor quality telephone or phone cables (possibly on the far end of the call).
• Feedback between the phone's speaker and microphone.

If you are hearing significant echo on a call:

• Hang up and Try to call back the number and see if the echo persists.
• Ask if the person you are talking with can use a different phone.
• Check a few web sites you commonly view and see if they are performing slower than usual. If this is the case, it is probable that your ISP is experiencing a problem.
• If anyone is sharing your Internet connection, or you are uploading/downloading files via the Internet, pause that activity and see if voice quality improves.

A fast busy signal may indicate that your gTalk^® device needs to be power recycled or rebooted.

In general, 'dropped' calls are the result of severe latency or 'packet loss' situation with your Internet Service. In other words, for a period of time your connection may not be fast enough to send and receive voice data, resulting in lost information. This situation is called 'Packet Loss'. Packet Loss may occur when connection speeds are compromised by temporary ISP problems, network congestion, or heavy bandwidth usage such as online gaming or during upload/download of files. If you experience such problem please do the followings:

• Check a few web sites you commonly view and see if they are performing slower than usual. If this is the case, it is probable that your ISP is experiencing a problem and you need to wait until the problem is over.
• If anyone is sharing your Internet connection, or you are uploading/downloading files via the Internet, pause this activity and see if voice quality improves.

gTalk^® Home Service App basically extends your home phone service to anywhere in the world through data connectivity using your smart phone. You may receive and make calls by your smart phone's data network using the gTalk^® Home service App.
